Akoya Partners with Atlas Research on HHS Contract

HHS logoAkoya partnered on a five-year U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) contract recently awarded to Atlas Research. Atlas Research selected Akoya and several other companies for their team to provide the HHS Program Support Center with a variety of services, including communications support. Services will be tasked on an as-needed basis. The contract is administered by HHS and the Human Services Program Support Center, but can be used by other government departments or agencies to procure services.

HRSA Hospital Campaign Reaches New Heights

hrsaCertgraphicPhase IV of the Hospital Organ Donation Campaign, coordinated by Akoya and sponsored by HHS’s Health Resources and Services Administration, recently concluded—with double-digit percentage increases in both participation and recognition levels. The campaign enlists hospitals nationwide to promote organ donation awareness and registration. It has added more than 350,000 donor enrollments to state registries around the country since launching in 2011. Phase V begins this fall. For more information, visit the Hospital Campaign web page.

GSA Contracts Combined

GSA logoAkoya has successfully migrated its existing GSA contract schedules (AIMS, MOBIS) to a new GSA Consolidated Schedule (00CORP) award that allows Akoya to offer both communications services and program support services under one contract vehicle through 2020. The newly awarded contract number is GS00F162CA, which can be accessed on GSA eLibrary.

Akoya’s MHS Team Welcomes New Staff

DaisyKAkoya’s Military Health System (MHS) team welcomes writer Daisy Ridgway Khalifa. Daisy comes to us with 20 years of experience in strategic planning, marketing, and journalism. As part of the MHS team, Daisy plans and produces content on preventive health, health IT, and global health readiness, working closely with MHS subject matter experts to ensure consistency across Department of Defense program offices.

ValleySteve Valley joins our MHS team as Senior Communications Advisor. Steve has his finger on the pulse of all strategic communications for the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Among his many duties, he facilitates and provides coordination between the DHA and MHS, supports oversight of both strategic and tactical communications planning, tracks project implementation and completion, assists in management of special events, and integrates communications functions across the MHS. Steve comes to Akoya as a seasoned communications and public relations professional with senior-level experience working with military clients.
