The International Academy of the Visual Arts has awarded Akoya two 2014 Communicator Awards. The Communicator Award of Excellence in the Integrated Campaign for Social Responsibility category recognized the quality of the Akoya-created U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs campaign for women veterans. The “Rethink Veterans” campaign included a TV public service announcement, posters, and web content, challenging VA employees to acknowledge and deliver quality care to the growing number of women veterans.
The Communicator Award of Distinction in the Video category was awarded for Akoya’s “Transforming the Lighting Landscape: L Prize PAR38 Competition” video. The promotional video was created for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to motivate manufacturers of LED PAR38 replacement lamps to enter the DOE-sponsored L Prize Competition.
