Behind the Scenes at the Genesis Mission Summit

Akoya was behind the scenes at the inaugural Genesis Mission Summit on July 22, collaborating with partner ICF to manage communications for the event. The Department of Energy hosted the event to show off its progress applying artificial intelligence to scientific discovery, and to welcome new partners to the mission. Secretary of Energy Chris Wright, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy Director Michael Kratsios, and Genesis Mission Director Dr. Darío Gil took the stage.

Akoya shaped the summit’s story from the first press release to the last social post. The team wrote the talking points and social content that set the tone ahead of the event, then spent the day managing speakers, running the press room, and posting updates as the news broke.

The summit was one day, but Akoya’s work on the Genesis Mission is year-round. The team produces the talking points, videos, newsletters, and other materials that keep Congress, the scientific community, and the public in the loop.
