Connecting Without Screens

Akoyans work from anywhere and everywhere, which makes it extra special when we meet in person.

Our recent team meet-up in D.C. gathered the staff that are based outside our Pittsburgh headquarters. For some of us, it was our first face-to-face meeting despite daily collaboration! We also got to catch up with the coworkers we don’t see every day and hear the latest gossip about their pets, kids, and hobbies.

In Pittsburgh, we gathered without the pressure of deadlines for happy-hour pizza and too many appetizers, with a side of analyzing Pittsburgh sports. A shared meal hits the spot every time.

The flexibility of remote work has been great for Akoya. Still, we find these in-person moments solidify our culture in ways that are tough to replicate remotely.
